Brazilian star Neymar claims his teammate Philippe Coutinho is extremely sad after not being able to complete his move to Barcelona.
Coutinho’s Transfer saga was one of the hottest transfer gossips of this summer’s transfer window. He was arguably one of the best player for the Merseyside and his manager was reluctant to sell him.
Even though some reports suggested the player had submitted a transfer request too but Liverpool refused all the offers for the 25-year-old.
The playmaker is yet to get his season going and it looks like the manager preferes having him on the bench until the transfer window gets over.
Ever since the departure of Neymar, the panic of the Catalans was cleary evident. They signed Brazilian midfielder, Paulinho, who received a negative reception from the fans.
Later Barcelona signed the young sensation Dembele in the hope of getting stability from the wings and he’s being looked as a potential replacement for Neymar.
Despite the back in injury, the 25-year-old featured on Thursday night when he came for Barzil in their match against Ecuador and scored in a 2-0 win.
He appeared emotional as he celebrated his goal and Neymar- the man he is slated to replace at Barcelona – spoke of his fellow countryman’s anguish after the match.
“I’m very happy that he scored a goal because at this moment he lives a very great sadness,” said the £200m PSG superstar.
“He helped us to the victory. He’s a great player and did very well when he came on.”
Although the transfer window is officially closed but the transfer saga of the young Brazilian still has a lot of unanswered questions.
Will Barcelona will make another bid for him when the transfer window will open in January?
Also, is there a possibility of him settling at Liverpool?
