10 Most Disappointing Players in Fantasy Premier League

If you’re an avid player of the Fantasy Premier League, then you are probably either happy with your team or completely devastated. Unfortunately, a couple of players that were beasts in the previous season (which inherently caused you to choose them for your fantasy team) have failed this year. In this list, we’ll mention the ten not-so-honourable picks, according to the statistics that these players have achieved.

  1. Alexandre Lacazette

The man behind many goals in Ligue 1, and the man that Arsenal thought would help them overcome their striker woes hasn’t impressed. Even though he’s not the worst of the bunch, he still hasn’t lived up to expectations, amassing 69 points. Not bad, but not up to snuff.

  1. Daniel Sturridge

Not truly a shining pick of the Fantasy Premier league, Daniel Sturridge didn’t manage to change people’s opinions either. For the 427 minutes he played this season, he managed to score only 2 goals and achieved 1 assist. The recent 5 matches he wasn’t part of don’t help either.

  1. Danny Simpson

The man from Leicester didn’t shine either. In fact, the most points he brought to Fantasy Premier League managers was 6. His defending was sub-par, especially when you consider he played for the full 90 minutes in almost all of his games. He’ll have to up his game if he is to bring more points to Fantasy Premier League managers.

  1. Kelechi Iheanacho

Kelechi played for only 254 minutes, yet he didn’t manage to achieve anything noteworthy during this time. His performance is catastrophic, and he hasn’t been played at all for the last seven matches. This is a big loss for Fantasy Premier League managers as some people expected more from the Leicester forward.

  1. Geoff Cameron

Another disappointment in Fantasy Premier League is Geoff Cameron. The defender from Stoke hasn’t managed to impress anyone and his points tally is low – only 17. Similarly to Danny Simpson, Geoff has played many 90-minute games without leaving a positive mark on the audience.

  1. Andre Gray

Watford’s forward won’t exactly be remembered for his performances. At least not in a good way. A total of 940 minutes played and only 2 goals scored is atrocious, to say the least. He wasn’t even played during the previous match with Leicester. That’s how detrimental he is to the team.

  1. Jeffrey Schlupp

An acceptable choice for the Fantasy Premier League, although he could have done much better. 34 points out of all matches isn’t that terrible, but it’s not what you’re looking for either. He’s been included in the starting team for the last 11 matches. This is all without making an impact.

  1. Diafra Sakho

West Ham’s Diafra Sakho hasn’t played a lot of minutes for the team, but even when he has, he hasn’t done much. An average player (some would even argue he’s bad), and only 2 goals as a forward. He did, however, bring 24 points to Fantasy Premier League managers.

  1. Ayoze Pérez

Newcastle’s forward has managed to score only one goal since the start of the season, even though he played in almost every match (excluding the match against Manchester United). The only ’bright’ side of him is his points tally – 34. If one can call that a bright side.

  1. Yohan Cabaye

At least there’s one thing about Yohan that’s redeemable. His points count which is currently sitting at 39. Only 3 assists for a midfielder and poor play all around never put Cabaye into the limelight.
