Arsenal are working really hard in pre-season training and our two strikers – Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah – look like they’re ready to score some goals.

Goalscoring was our biggest issue last season. We had to heavily rely on Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli to get us over the line because Alexandre Lacazette really struggled to get the ball in the back of the net.

It was clear that we simply could not afford to have the same problem next season, and Arsenal have gone and found a potential solution in Gabriel Jesus, who is an exceptional player. The Brazilian and Nketiah will have to step up next season, and they’re putting in the work.

Arsenal are busy at work in Herzogenaurach ahead of our game against FC Nurnberg at the Max-Morlock-Stadion in Germany tomorrow.

Mikel Arteta is having a bit of fun in training himself, but he’s also really pushing his lads to get them ready for the new season. All eyes were, unsurprisingly, on Jesus, and the Brazilian scored two really good goals today.

That’s excellent news for us ahead of the game tomorrow, but what makes it even better is to see that Nkehiah isn’t just sitting around doing nothing, he’s putting in a shift as well.

In another video posted by Arsenal, the Englishman is seen picking up the ball, shifting it onto his weaker left foot, and smashing an absolute stunner past Matt Turner in goal. Our two strikers look ready!

Eddie needs to keep pushing

Nketiah has always been viewed as a hugely exciting talent at Arsenal. He was prolific at every age group growing up, but his run in the senior side has not always been smooth.

However, after he replaced Alexandre Lacazette in the side at the end of last season, his performances reminded everyone why Mikel Arteta and everyone else at Arsenal rates him so highly.

Jesus is Arsenal’s marquee signing this summer and he will start the season as our number one striker. Nketiah will be the backup in the Premier League, but he needs to put the work in and push Jesus to the limits.

That will bring the best out of both strikers, which is the best thing for Arsenal in all competitions next season.
