The Athletic reported yesterday that Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, and 90min have now revealed the salary the Brazilian is set to earn at the Emirates.

Jesus has been linked with a move to the Emirates for a while now. He has been Mikel Arteta’s priority target to replace Alexandre Lacazette, and it looks like the Gunners boss has got his man.

Arsenal have reportedly agreed to pay £45 million to sign Jesus, and he’s now set to become the club’s highest-paid player if the move goes through as planned.

Report shares Gabriel Jesus’ expected Arsenal salary

Arsenal have considerably trimmed down their wage bill following the departures of mega-earners Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lacazette over the last few years.

However, if we want to sign big players, we’ll have to fork out big money, and that’s exactly what Edu and Arteta have reportedly agreed to do to convince Jesus to make the move to the Emirates.

The report claims that the Brazilian will earn in excess of £250,000-a-week if his move to Arsenal goes through. That will make him our highest-paid player, surpassing Thomas Partey.

Jesus is expected to travel to London to complete his medical and sort out other formalities in the coming days.

Arsenal players with the highest wages

As things stand, Partey is Arsenal’s highest-paid player. The Ghanaian, who joined us from Atletico Madrid in 2020, signed a five-year contract that pays him a weekly wage of £200,000.

There’s a big drop-off then as the Gunners’ second most paid player is our record signing Nicolas Pepe, who pockets £140,000-a-week. The Ivorian, however, is expected by many to leave the club this summer.

Ben White ranks third on the list with a salary of £120,000-a-week, while Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney come next with a weekly wage of £110,000. (Spotrac)

Everyone else at Arsenal currently earns £100,000-a-week or lesser, but we expect that to change if we sign the likes of Jesus and Raphinha, and extend the contracts of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Magalhaes in the coming weeks and months.
