£200k-a-week Tottenham star, £40m Edu target: One player Arsenal should sign from every PL club

The Premier League season is behind us, and with the teams for the 22/23 campaign now confirmed, Arsenal can now turn their attention to who should they be signing this summer.

The Gunners already have a few new players coming in this window in the form of MLS duo Matt Turner and Auston Trusty, yet as per reports, Mikel Arteta is looking to improve the squad beyond these two American signings, the big question now, though, is who to look at.

Indeed, Arsenal are have been linked with plenty of names from across the Premier League and beyond, and in this feature, we want to look at one player from each side in the English top flight who could be a top signing for the north London side this summer.

AFC Bournemouth – Lloyd Kelly

AFC Bournemouth have one of the most interesting squads on paper, yet from their side who won promotion from the Championship last season, Lloyd Kelly stands out as a player who could suit Arsenal, with the Cherries captain able to play multiple defensive positions, an impressive feat for a 23-year-old.

Aston Villa – Douglas Luiz

Douglas Luiz was linked with Arsenal during the January window, and five months later, the Brazilian international could still be a top addition for the Gunners, with a central midfielder a major position Arteta has to resolve this summer.

Brentford – Josh DaSilva

A Hale End academy graduate, Josh DaSilva has developed well since leaving Arsenal for Brentford in 2018, with the midfielder a key reason behind the Bees’ promotion to the Premier League in 2021, and the now 23-year-old could be welcomed back in north London with open arms.

Brighton & Hove Albion – Tariq Lamptey

Tariq Lamptey famously caused Arsenal nightmares in his first-ever professional game off the bench at Chelsea, and now a star for Brighton & Hove Albion, the England youth international would be a sensational alternative to Takehiro Tomiyasu for the right-back position.

Chelsea – Romelu Lukaku

One of the more audacious names on this list, Arsenal’s need for a striker is evident for all to see, and with Romelu Lukaku set to leave Chelsea this summer, a trip to north London at a club where he will be the star man and trusted could be a perfect marriage for the Gunners and the Belgian superstar.

Crystal Palace – Tyrick Mitchell

Crystal Palace’s latest superstar fullback straight from the academy, Tryick Mitchell is already an England international and has previously been linked with Arsenal, and with a left-back reportedly on the Gunners’ radar this summer, the 22-year-old could be perfect as a homegrown option.

Everton – Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Reports of Arsenal’s interest in Dominic Calvert-Lewin have cooled somewhat over the past few weeks, yet should Everton decide to lower their reported £50m asking price for the striker, the England international could be an ideal attacking signing for Arteta this summer.

Fulham – Antonee Robinson

Picking a player from Fulham is a tough ask, to say the least, but as one of their best players last season and a USA international, former Everton star Antonee Robinson fits the bill for what Arsenal could be looking for to a tee in the transfer window.

Leeds United – Kalvin Phillips

Kalvin Phillips looks set to leave Leeds United this summer despite the Yorkshire side completing the great escape on the final day of the season, and with Arsenal needing a central midfielder, the England international is perfect for the role, though the transfer fee might be too much for Edu Gaspar.

Leicester City – Youri Tielemans

Speaking of midfielders, Youri Tielemans is currently the favourite to join Arsenal this season, with Leicester City reportedly open to selling the Belgian international for just £25m, an absolute steal for the 25-year-old maestro.

Liverpool – Neco Williams

Despite Liverpool’s outstanding squad, very few members of the starting XI would fit into what Arsenal are looking for, yet talented right-back Neco Williams could be exactly what the Gunners need this summer in terms of a backup to Tomiyasu, with the defender impressing at Fulham on loan last season.

Manchester City – Gabriel Jesus

Just like with Tielemans, Gabriel Jesus is the most likely striker to sign for Arsenal this summer, with Arteta reportedly pushing hard to bring the Manchester City star to north London in a deal that could cost as much as £50m.

Manchester United – Marcus Rashford

Manchester United are set for a massive rebuild under Erik Ten Hag, with Marcus Rashford reportedly eager to leave his boyhood club, and given his attacking versatility, Arsenal might be a perfect match for the England international despite his form over the past 12 months.

Newcastle United – Bruno Guimaraes

Heads were turned in January when Newcastle United used their newfound financial muscle to beat Arsenal to Bruno Guimaraes, a player Edu had been looking to sign for months. And at £40m, the midfielder has been worth every penny for the Toon, much to the dismay of the Gunners.

Nottingham Forest – Brennan Johnson

Every Premier League club will be looking to sign Brennan Johnson this summer, and Arsenal should be no different, with the Wales international playing a massive role in Nottingham Forest’s historic promotion back up to the top flight for the first time in 23 years.

Southampton – Tino Livramento

Another Chelsea academy right-back who is enjoying unrivalled success away from west London, Tino Livramento was the youngest player in the Premier League last season to play regular football, and as a right-back, Arsenal could be an ideal next step for the talented teenager.

Tottenham – Harry Kane

If you thought Lukaku was ambitious, Harry Kane could be the most out-there selection on this entire list. We all know of the £200k-a-week striker’s links to Arsenal, and with a striker needed, why not pluck one of the best in the world who just so happens to play for your biggest rivals.

West Ham – Declan Rice

Phillips was suggested earlier, and now so is his England midfield partner in crime Declan Rice, who last season took his game to a whole new level with West Ham, something Arsenal could thrive with if they had the 23-year-old in their squad.

Wolves – Rayan Ait-Nouri

Ruben Neves might be the Wolves player most linked to Arsenal, but for the Gunners, 21-year-old left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri should be the name Arteta is targeting from the Molineux side, with the youngster quietly one of the most exciting fullbacks in the Premier League.
