Some Arsenal Fans were left seething after David Ornstein revealed the hierarchy’s stance on Mikel Arteta’s future at the club following last night’s humiliation at the hands of Villarreal.
According to the famed journalist (via Sky Sports), the board seem to think the Spaniard is part of the side’s solution and not the problem. However, the Gunners went out with a whimper on Thursday night, producing just two shots on target from 14 attempts, rarely harming the La Liga side’s goal.
Continuing on about the board’s feeling on Arteta, it’s being claimed by the The Athletic’s football correspondent that the board want to give the manager this summer’s transfer window and longer in order to prove himself.

Sacking Arteta would just start the rebuilding process all over again, and given the hard work put into the last 18 months, would be a collossal waste of time.
Here are how some fans reacted to the news from Ornstein…The Arsenal heirachy don’t even see themselves as part of the problem. So it doesn’t really surprise me
