Arsenal were frustrated at the Emirates last night as Crystal Palace made us settle for a draw. The Eagles, as expected, defended deep and their brilliant organisation gave us very little space to have any impact in the final third.
That, however, wasn’t the story of the game. Palace had more than enough chances to pick up a win themselves, but thankfully, Bernd Leno did what he does best, and kept them at bay.
Hector Bellerin spoke to Sky Sports after the game expressing his frustration at the result. However, he was very quick to acknowledge how good Leno was and has been for us for a while now.

He said, as quoted by BBC Sport: “Bernd Leno is a great goalkeeper and he always shows that every single game. We are happy with a clean sheet – in that sense, we are improving. There are positives to it but a long way to go for us still.”
Leno is extremely underrated
Ederson, Alisson, David de Gea and Hugo Lloris are people’s usual picks for the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, but Leno is just as good if not better than the other four.
The German has saved Arsenal on multiple occasions, and without him, our season would have looked a lot worse.

Arsenal should be serious in our search for a backup goalkeeper. Alex Runarsson showed he is nowhere near ready to play consistently at the top level.
That makes us overly-reliant on Leno and an injury to him could end all our hopes for the season.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping that the former Leverkusen man is always available. However, he should be safe and bring in a backup goalkeeper before the window shuts at the end of this month.
