The Los Angeles Lakers led 3-1 in the Western Conference semifinal series against the Houston Rockets, after celebrating 110-100 in the fourth game.

The Lakers had a big advantage throughout the game, which was plus 23 (101-78) seven minutes before the end. There was a lot of relaxation for the LA team which could have cost a lot, because the Rockets managed to reach only minus five (105-100) one minute before the end. However, the next attack was followed by a triple by Alex Caruso, with which the Lakers reached 3-1 lead with  only a victory away for a conference final after a break of ten years.

Anthony Davis with 29 points and 12 rebounds was the first name in the winning camp, while Alex Caruso had a great match and finished with 16 points, including the decisive triple with 40 seconds to go. With the Rockets, Westbrook scored 25 points, while Harden had 21, but with a desperate realization from the game (2-11).
