FAVOR – THE CURRENCY OF HEAVEN….

I recently heard a Pastor say in his sermon that Favor is Heaven’s currency and that we can use it like (money) here on earth? (Proverbs 22:1)A good name is to be more desired than great wealth; Favor is better than silver and gold.

Okay, I can agree with that. But would it also be fair to say that besides favor, we can put (love) on that currency list as well? Yeah, I know you’re probably saying, “well, since you’re adding onto that currency list, make sure you add (faith) also.”

However, today we’re just going to focus more on The Favor Of God.

If we know anything about the Father, we know He is Love…

And that’s why I’m going to speak on His (Love) before moving on to His (Favor) because it’s who He is and, what He’s all about! (1 John 4:7‭-‬8‭, 16) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

For sure, the true currency of God’s Kingdom is Love, so showing it and giving it to others should be a given!! (2John 1:6)And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.

Why walk in it? Because being (One) with Him, you’re connected to the principal source of that (Love) Him. (1 Corinthians 6:17)But he who joins himself to the Lord becomes spiritually one with him.

And we know when Jesus was here on earth that’s what He “oozed.”

Everywhere He step foot, His love was felt and His character was on high alert. (Galatians 5:22-23)But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And what’s the fruit? It’s that which Paul used in the Bible (“fruit”) to help us understand the visualization of the Holy Spirit, who lives inside of every Believer. The fruit of the Spirit is produced by the Holy Spirit, not by the Believer…

As we start to (live, walk and grow) in Christ, His characteristics will start to be manifested in our lives.(Matthew 7:15‭-‬16) “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way, they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

Honestly speaking, I’m trying so hard to stick to the topic of (Favor) but when He starts speaking behind His Word it’s so hard to. Serving a vast God with many in-exhaustible qualities you never know what He’s going to say, Amen!

As I’m still trying to move on, I’m reminded of how God sent His only Begotten Son to earth, not so He could go around looking for people to condemn, but to help the sick! (Mark 2:16‭-‬17)But when the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees saw him eating with tax collectors and other sinners, they asked his disciples, “Why does he eat with such scum?” When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

Jesus came to earth to do the Father’s will, but He also came to represent God so that we would know what it is like to have God with us.

He was sent to show us the beauty and majesty of the King. And to be reconnected back to Him!

He was here to show, spread, and demonstrate His love to us all!

He was sent here to show us an up close and personal love…. Even to those who wanted Him dead! (Luke 22:49‭-‬51)When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.

Even despite knowing these men’s intentions, Jesus still chose to show love through His actions, by restoring the man’s ear, which Simon Peter cut off.

Now, Let’s dive in…..

Not only was God a God of (love), but He was also a God of (favor)!

Can I ask you a question? Would it be fair to say that God doesn’t have favorites? Or, show favoritism?

Okay, let’s explore!

After reading many (favorable) instances in the Word of God, how can one say that He didn’t have favorites or show partiality? Well Peter and the Apostle Paul says different.

Peter said out of his own mouth in (Acts 10:34)Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism.

Paul also mentioned this in (Romans 2:11)  “For God does not show favoritism.

No, Utt Uhh!  I am not here to debate or go back and forth over God’s Word, and certainly not His actions, about being right, wrong, or indifferent, but what we will do is let the Word of God speak for itself okay?

Before moving on any further, I have to say that God does favor one thing, and that is our faith. Our faith in Him and His Word…

Now, can we agree that our Lord is totally 100%  Un-bias…. when it comes to Salvation, and being Born Again? He wants all to have “Eternal Life” both the Jew and the Greek. “Not wishing that any should perish” (2 Peter 3:9). is that fair to say?

Nevertheless, it clearly shows throughout the Word of God how, when it came to getting specific things done, He clearly singled some over the rest. Would that be fair to say as well?

Those (He Chose) keywords; “He Chose” we’re favored. But, for specific reasons!

As God saw, as well as knew, who believed and wanted more of Him, He also knew who He could get up close and personal with. And He used them to His advantage.

God knew what He was doing….

Remember, He’s God, and He looks at the heart of man (1 Samuel 16:7) But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

There were few and in-between people that God chose to use in very peculiar, powerful ways in the Bible, and He still does, to this day, to get things done.

The people He chose to use clearly had His favor, anointing, protection, and blessings all over them before they even knew it. They only knew they were favored because they were told.

Yes, I understand that all Believers have a certain amount of favor in their lives because of the confession( that Jesus is Lord) and it’s part of their salvation package. But, to be chosen and be favored by God to get specific things done, it’s a difference people!  (Matthew 22:14)For many are called, but few are chosen.

Let’s continue with the obvious….

How about Mary….can’t say that wasn’t God’s favor! (Luke 1:30) And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. (Matthew 1:18)This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Just by reading that about Mary, we see that the favor of God is a promoter. It promotes!

Just like it did with Joseph in adversity, he was made second in command to Pharaoh!

Just like with Esther. it preserved her in danger, and found her desirable to the king!

And, just like with Ruth, it increased her during the time of famine!

And, like for David it insulated (protected) him in trials. Please read @(https://endofthrmatter.com/)Why David found favor with God when both David and Saul sinned. Good Read!

Just know this! The favor of God in your life is like no other! And contrary to what people might say when it comes to this subject of favor (God’s Favor)….it simply is not fair!!

It opens doors that appear closed to man-

It unlocks what seems impossible in the natural that’s locked-

It lifts up what appears to be cast down-

It remembers and reminds you of what you have forgotten, and rains down blessings-

It defeats all that stands in the way to oppose you-

And! It silences your accusers-

This is what the favor of God in your life does!

It certainly will cause good breaks to come to you as well, that you don’t deserve. It’ll deposit other people’s spoil to you, when you never see it coming….

It’ll open up doors and windows you never knew were possible. You weren’t next in line, for  that promotion, but you got it…. that job you applied for, you had little to no experience in, you got it…. that house you didn’t think you could afford, you got it…..that building, you bidded on that had 20 others interested in it, you got it.

That’s called “the favor of God!”

Favor places us on the right paths, at the right time, for things to line up for us, and put people in the right positions for our come up! (Revelation 3:8)“I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.

Favor’s far better than money, and (Yes) It teaches you how to be humble…(Proverbs 3:34)Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.

When it comes to Gods favor in your life, It’s far better than any fame you’ll ever encounter for a minute. (1 Peter 5:5) “Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

God is looking for committed, surrendered, sold-out, dedicated, believing hearts – so He can pour His favor out on them. Are you one of them? (2 Chronicles 16:9) “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”

God dwells with, provides for, and shows favor toward the humble, so be one of those who’s humble and realize that promotion comes from Him alone. (Psalm 75:7) He “puts down one and exalts another.”

There are some things that money cannot buy– and favor is one of them!

When God’s favor is in your life, wonderful things will happen to you and for you…. Like;

Favor will take you where nothing else can take you.

Favor can open doors and prevent calamity.

Favor can help you do more with less.

Favor can make a way where there is no way!

How can you not fall in love with a God like that? A God who sees your heart over your faults, shortcomings, and mistakes, but still chooses to favor you and use you!

Like Mary, despite it all, she said – “I’m yours, Lord, for whatever you have in mind.”(Luke 1:38).

What if God’s plan for your life, like Mary’s, meant no wedding, but pregnancy?

What if it meant,  lossing your reputation because your reasons for what you do don’t make sense to those around you, like Noah?

What if it meant, living a life that was  misunderstood and ridiculed because of the way you looked and did things, like John The Baptist?

Can you say that even if you didn’t understand what God was doing, you’d accept His unfolding path that looked uncertain, undesirable, or maybe even threatening? (Jer. 29:11)For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Just maybe like Mary and plenty others in the Bible, we too can develop an obedient, surrendered heart, so we too can find ourselves “favored” by God.

If you want to have favor with God, start out by being fully committed to His Son.

By, Worshiping and Reverencing Him, by Identifying with His (death, burial, and ressurection), and by developing a heart like His, as well as displaying His characteristics in your life! Start there.

Would you say that the picture of “God’s Favor” in one’s life has been misleading to some? For them to think that having (Gods favor) spells out, a life with no issues?

Yes, trust me God’s favor has benefits and we read some of them, but to believe that because of it you don’t still go through life in an fallen world with issues, then you’re in for a rude awakening! (John 16:33)I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

For those of you thinking that “Gods Favor’ in your life means all peaches and cream, there it is right there for ya!

Just know that when God grants you His favor, nothing can stop what He has in store. (Isaiah 66:2) Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the LORD. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.

We see all throughout the Bible that those He favored still had difficulties. But, we can still find hope in their stories

Like Noah (Genesis 6:8)

Like Moses (Exodus 32:7–14; 33:13)

Like  Daniel (Daniel 10:19)

And Mary (Luke 1:28)

These were highly favored men and women of God, yet they still had to overcame trials and tribulations. And, God never left them, but equipped them and watched over them(Psalm 34:15)The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.(Hebrews 13:21)may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

The one thing about God’s favor is when it’s on you, it’s on you!!

Be Blessed….
