Let’s (Bud) Before We (Bloom!)

Let’s (Bud) Before We (Bloom!)

Have you ever heard of the saying, “Bloom Where You Are Planted?”

When I posed that saying to God, and asked Him what it meant, He said to me, What about the process before the “Blooming,” what about the “Budding?”

I said Wow, that makes a lot of sense…

He said, “Think about the “budding” process first.”  “You have to bud before you bloom…”

Let’s look at what God said from this angle; if your “blooming” process is said to be seen as the full essence of where God has you at, and why He has you there, then how can the beginning of the “blooming” process just get ignored? It can’t!

God does things in proper order, and everything has stages and a process to go through. No matter what it is. If it’s connected to or created by God, It has an order associated with it. That’s just how God created things to operate. (1 Corinthians 14:40)Let all things be done decently and in order.

Come on, If someone can come up with a God-related definition for “blooming” in “layman’s terms,” why wouldn’t God push it back to the order it should be seen in? Its original order. So people can gain real understanding? To Bud first then Bloom! (Proverbs 4:7)Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

We also need to see the ”Budding,” part of it as a beautiful process as well.

But, people just don’t think it’s as notable as the blooming part. And, that’s not true, according to God! (Zechariah 4:10)Who [with reason] despises the day of small things (beginnings)?

This makes no sense at all because the ”budding” process comes before the ”blooming” process no matter how you view it.

Just look at the ”Budding” stage like this; For you to grow and develop in your spiritual maturity, you have to be willing to obey God in this stage.

It’s your obedience to God’s Word that positions you for expansion. (written and spoken).

It’s during that time when He’s removing all worldly functions, wrong thinking patterns, bad dispositions and nasty attitudes. And also, building (trust, love, and faith). (Romans 9:16)It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

During the “budding” stage, He has to get rid of all inward mess, before He can prepare you for anything else.

And only until then can He get you to invite the “blooming” stage of complete awareness and truth into the equation! (1 John 2:16-17)For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—come not from the Father but the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

I mean, listen, before a flower blooms, there’s a lot taking place that you cannot see, and being hidden from the natural eye.

If we’re looking at this process of (Budding and Blooming) in a Spiritual sense, then we’re going to have to look into this like we would into a metamorphosis approach(the transforming from an immature form to an adult form)!

Which is no different than (seed-time & harvest) to be honest. (Genesis 8:22)While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”

The reality of it all is this…all existence has a stage, and in that stage comes a process, and through that process comes growth, and in that growth, comes maturity.  So as for this stage of “Blooming”, you do have to “Bud” first.

Don’t get me wrong, that proverbial saying, “Bloom where you are planted,” sounds good and all, but it’s not biblical.

And, the only thing I can see it being compared to spiritually is (The parable of the sower), located in (Matthew 13:1–23, Mark 4:1–20, Luke 8:4–15)

As for gaining understanding about the (budding process), it’s the production of new life. Renewal.  Birthing. Fathering of its kind…

Plain and simple, there will always be a (budding) process before a (blooming) one can take place.( Luke 21:30)When they are already budding, you see it and know by your own selves that the summer is already near.

Now that we have that part understood, let’s move on.

However, before we do, I pose that question to you again, have you ever heard the phrase “Bloom where you are planted” spoken?

In other words, sayings like “Bloom where you are planted” can be seen as an encouraging statement at any spiritual stage of your life.

But, what if we simply equated that saying to; God needing and wanting us to get out of it, the reason of why He has you planted where you are in the first place!!

Why is it that people constantly try to come up with proverbial sayings? No! I’m not saying that it’s a bad thing, when God’s Word can back it up, and not just for mere (I’m saying it because it sounds good)

Not saying that the Holy Spirit won’t give you discernment concerning anything that’s trying to be referenced to His Word. (Psalm 119:130)The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.

As I journeyed through (Google) to find out what exactly that saying “Bloom where you’re planted,” means.

I found it to mean this- To simply make the most of where God has you NOW, and do the best under your current set of circumstances.

Which brings to mind this scripture…(John 15:5)I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Whoever that saying derived from couldn’t possibly have thought much about what they said, because it sounds as though that statement is instructing (You) to make the most out of where God has you….

And living for God isn’t that His job? He’s the One cleaning us up the way we need to be, and showing us what has to change.

This process that takes place in us is not a work that we, the Believer, have any part of.

IN FACT, it’s not our work at all! It’s all Him. He just calls us to have faith in the process!

Trust me! Without Him we can do nothing…..  acknowledge nothing…. or acquire nothing! Again (John 15:5) for you can do nothing without me.

I’m aware that sometimes we may want to do something on our own, and in our own way, because our wait may seem to be longer than expected, and some can become regretful, tiresome, and at worst, may even want to give up!

But, my words of encouragement are that you stick in there like Job, and watch what God manifests (Job 27:6)My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go.

He’s aware that while you’re in this “budding” stage you may have some questions for Him…

Questions like, okay, God, what’s going on?(1 John 5:14 -15)Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

But know this, even in your questioning, all He wants you to do is trust Him.( Proverbs 3:5)Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Understand this. He got you! And what you’re going through during this stage of the process is necessary. He will soon make it all visible, and clear to you. However for now, it’ll have to be on a need to know basis!

Trust!  Trust!  Trust!

Nevertheless, it’s in that (budding) stage that He’s allowing you to acknowledge, see and hear what He is slowly removing from your heart, so you can move with Grace, into another stage of growth! (Hebrews 6:1)So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.

This is not the time to lose focus, and allow the devil to talk you out of what’s part of your destiny. (Janes 4:7)Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Don’t allow Satan to take you to a place of doubt. You know God loves you, and that He is with you, (Psalms 36:5‭-‬7)Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.

Just look at where God has you right now. In this very moment. And see it as His preparation for something bigger! (Jeremiah 29:11)For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Like I said earlier, don’t allow the enemy to talk you out of what God has for you, or be disobedient to what He’s asking of you at this stage.

Because it will cause you to lose out on His (Outcome, Authority, and Power) in your life. Just keep in mind that delayed obedience is still disobedience!

When you disobey God’s boundaries and step out of the parameters of His Word, just to fulfill the lusts of the flesh, you’ll stop His appointed Authority, limit His Promises, and bring to a halt, the free rein of your God given Dominion. Ponder on that for a minute, will you!

Now, at this stage, your Dominion will be scarce anyway because you have given Him freedom to deal with you. However it’s still there. But limited! And it will only be allowed to fully operate based on your obedience.

So, in this (budding) stage, be obedient and listen well, as you grow in your garden.

Keep “budding” right where God has planted you, and go ahead and let Him advance you to “blossom” at the right time! (Ecclesiastes 3:1)For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.

Even though you’ve been where you are for some time now, just wait until your full (bloom) comes in, honey! “All eyes will be on you!”

You won’t even be able to recognize yourself.

I believe that what we sometimes seem to overlook in this process (because that’s all it is) is that things are working out in our favor.

And the pieces that didn’t once fit are starting to now, because of the nurturing process that we needed to go through in order for that to happen.

Trust the process!!(I also have a blog on that as well)https://hostofangels2015.wordpress.com/2020/09/08/trust-god-enough-to-do-what-he-must-do/

Does that make sense?

To those who didn’t know, God is a God of the individual. He works with us where we are.

Your relationship is one of a kind! So, what He has for you is for you and no one else!

No matter what it may feel like to the natural man, just remain in your rightful position in Spirit man, and focus back on the overall picture of it all.(Isaiah 26:3 )“You will keep the mind that is dependent on You in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You.”

God will never set us up to fail!

So, if you’re Spiritually in an unfamiliar place (where you are presently) release what growth toxins you have soaked up at this stage of your growth.

Allow God to bring it all into completion! (Philippians 1:6) And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Your garden may not be in full bloom now, but at least recognize the (budding)…Amen!

Remember, before you bloom you have to bud!

And, in that “budding” stage, you’ll begin to see progress, and definitely notice a mindset shift.(Romans 12:2) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Trust and believe He has us all “blooming” in one way or another, in “His” own way. (Ephesians 2:10) For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].

In no way shape or form am I trying to compare you to a plant or wildflower, but just think about when they start to bloom…. They are so pretty!

It’s blooming process does not happen overnight either, oh no! Things go on behind the scene that’s never seen. Until one day (BOOM)! There it is in its full maturity. The (blooming) stage! It finally occurred!

Now that the “blooming” stage has finally taken place, it should be seen to all as Spiritual Growth!

God’s purpose after the (budding) process is that you become a fruitful bloomer…and spread your (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control)..

I say that because at this point of the process, you should be more focus minded (on God). You should be more in tune with your emotions (what once ticked you off no longer does).

You should be so deep – rooted that no form of craziness (from anyone) can uproot you from your progress of what God’s been working on in you.

All the dark, dry places of the past have begun to get nourished with spiritual water of bondage breaking freedom. And there’s no more drought of ignorance and manipulation …. Hallelujah No More!

Now that you are in full bloom. Stand at your tallest in Christ! Be an example to others. Shine the brightest where you are, and allow God to work through you!

Now, after all that, get ready for the (Pruning).

The (pruning) process in this stage, will keep that one of a kind garden tidy, as you continue to stand so tall and beautiful in it.

Because you’re going to get occasional crab grass and weeds here and there, but allow God to take care of your grooming. In (John 15:2)Jesus says, Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit]. Amen!

Be Blessed….
