When you hear someone say, “ it’s your season” or, a statement pertaining to the word “Season”, what do you think about?
Well before we go any further let’s see what the Word of God has to say about this specific subject….
(Psalms 1:1-3))Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The scripture above says a lot, but let’s focus on the underlined portion of what it’s speaking of;
He or She will not wither away when seasons come to test their faith. They will not be overcome or subdued by the enemies tactics because they will be covered in the amour of God’s light.
They will not be moved because of whatever season they are in (WHY) because they are securely attached to the Rock of their salvation, and protected on every side by the shadow of His wings.
That tree that is planted grows, produces, and prospers the fruit of righteousness in his season that comes from God.
His never-ending supply of provision and renewal from His streams of living water.
(Then We Have)
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
Did you know It was King Solomon who came up with the conclusion that God was the One who had established specific times and predetermined seasons?
Let’s face it, every set time and season, physical or spiritual has been foreordained by God. Yep, even when it comes down to the number of hairs on our head He knows just how many there are.
This is how intricate and intimate He is with us, He is our Lord, our God whom has planned our time here on this earth for His Glory.
In (Exodus 3) God called the Israelites out of Egypt to be His people. And, in (Leviticus 23) God set appointed times and seasons for them, with Feast days, Sabbath days, Holy convocations as in when to present offerings by fire to Him, Burnt offerings, Grain offerings, Sacrifices and Drink offerings, all at certain appointed times.
Okay, now that we got through that understanding, you need to also know that spiritual seasons are here to teach us that the one consistent thing in this life is change.
The one thing no one can stop or alter for their own convenience.
When life reveals to us that change is inevitable, and is going to take place whether we’re on board or not, the [born again] human side of us has the opportunity to grow and become more like Jesus, “AND”, be the mouthpiece He needs us to be, by getting more people saved…..
Oh, trust and believe there is a reason for your season, and God has you right where He needs you to be for that reason, so continue to stand firm. (1Corinthians 13:16)
Stay focused on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead(Philippians 3:13)
Since no one is exempt from change – change of youth, age, hair turning gray, strength etc. etc. we need to just welcome it and embrace it as it comes, as we all look forward to the many more seasons of change to come.
Even though I find it quite important to pay attention to the season you are living in at that time, you also must remember that – it is just that, a season and it is temporary.
The best thing for you to do while you are at that stage in your life is to accept where you are and to accept that season of your life, where God has you at that time.
It’s good to Understanding that seasons guarantee change, and in that change comes a blessing, with God’s growth, pruning, stretching, and outlook attached to it.
When you come into a new season in which you have no control over, with a Bad Attitude because of the change it brings (good or bad), you can almost – always guarantee it’ll be worse on you as you go through your season, by turning your back to God and turning your face to outside influences for answers only He can give during this time.
You can either turn this time into a place of oneness with God as you go through, or a place of separation due to a bad attitude.
That choice is up to you.
Listen, when you can walk through your season with soundness, high – mindedness and virtue, while remaining prayerful, and honoring, and trusting God, you’ll be just fine.
Just keep in mind, as you commune with God during your learning season you’ll begin to understand the reason for your season. You’ll begin to know that the place your in at that time, is the place you’re meant to be.
Release, relax, and let go of what you think it should be, or how you think it should be going, Instead of praying for God to just get you out of it and move you on to another chapter, just want and welcome Him even the more, right where you are.
And please!! don’t fall into being that person, who thinks, the older you get the easier it’ll become to notice those different seasons for what they are, because it will not be like that at all.
I say that for this….Every time a new season comes you can best believe it’s going to be for something different at that new level in your life.
(Yeah, you heard me), there will most likely be a new level with a new season, because seasons are there to teach you something at every new level, so whatever season you find yourself in, remain faithful, unmovable, and teachable…..
(Ecclesiastes 3) is a sure reminder that everything happens for a reason and at a certain timing.
I believe that God allows seasons in our lives to remind us that He’s in control, and with each season, there also comes a purpose for each one..
Stay mindful that even though we are growing and changing for each new level, He always remains the same!!
