- No Evil Shall Touch You

“But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you shall succeed, and you will have justice against every courtroom lie. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. This is the blessing I have given you, says the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17 TLB)

The Bible never says that Evil wouldn’t come around but it does say that we shall not be overcome by it. David said he walked through death yet it couldn’t Touch him (Psalm 23:4). The same man confessed by the Spirit that this was possible because God proclaimed that no one can touch his anointed and do his prophets no harm (Psalm 105:15). That includes you as well, and it is the blessing for this day.

When Isaiah said in the coming day, he meant the days after the Spirit of Christ is shed mightily upon us. And that is today, tomorrow and forever till the Lord returns.

The Holy Spirit dwelling in you anoints you as a member of God’s household. So you can’t be touched, because whoever touches you touches the apple of God’s eyes.

You might say “But what about Job? Or the apostles of the New Testament who were persecuted?” Well, at the end, God restored Job till it seemed as though nothing had happened. And Paul said everything he encountered turned out to be a deliverance unto him and many (Philippians 1:19-20). Yes, they were tried, but the Lord brought them forth as gold. As David, walking through valleys of death may be inevitable, but God has promised to help us.

The truth is that as a child of God, He gives angels charge over you. Not one, a plethora of angels, to watch and keep you safe. But not just them. He too. It says His eyes go around to secure you (2 Chro 16:9). That’s why the enemy is frustrated and has to call for truce, because when God is with you, no one can be against you and succeed.

Consider Isaiah 33:21. It says He will be like a wide river to protect—one that the enemy will never be able to cross. They just watch you blossom in their presence, your cup running over without the power to hamper your progress because of the great covering over you. In verse 22, it says as our judge and king, He will care for us and save us. In verse 23, it says He will ruin the enemy if they still attempt to hurt us. Remember Pharaoh in the Red Sea and the 185,000 defeated soldiers of Sennacherib. If He did it then, He will do it now; for He never changes nor disappoints.
