How To Consistently Trust And Sincerely Worship God At All Times

- How To Consistently Trust And Sincerely Worship God At All Times

"And the godly shall rejoice in the Lord, and trust and praise him." (Psalm 64:10 TLB)

The godly are meant to rejoice at all times, and this scripture says is possible through trust and praise. The Bible also tells us that God speaks to us daily. In fact, it tells us He does so every morning (Job 33:15-16); whether through the voice of the Word or by His still voice in our spirit, God speaks. And we are advised to listen and obey for our good (Hebrews 3:15-19). And what does He speak? He tells us what pleases Him.

The first is living in faith (Hebrews 11:6) and the second is Worship (Hebrews 12:28). But now that we know this today, how can we heed it? How can we learn to do both on a constant basis? The disciples asked Jesus to help strengthen their faith, but rather than praying for it, He taught them a simple principle.

"“If your faith were only the size of a mustard seed,” Jesus answered, “it would be large enough to uproot that mulberry tree over there and send it hurtling into the sea! Your command would bring immediate results! When a servant comes in from plowing or taking care of sheep, he doesn’t just sit down and eat, but first prepares his master’s meal and serves him his supper before he eats his own. And he is not even thanked, for he is merely doing what he is supposed to do. Just so, if you merely obey me, you should not consider yourselves worthy of praise. For you have simply done your duty!” (Luke 17:6-10 TLB)

In other words, He was telling us that what you have now is enough to build whatever you desire, and an attitude of service is paramount alongside that. In short, HE was describing ambiguously what Samuel had said many years back. Samuel said "Trust the Lord and Sincerely Worship him; think of all the tremendous things he has done for you." (1 Samuel 12:24 TLB). Therefore, to trust the Lord and sincerely worship Him, you need to think often of all the tremendous things He has done for you. That's how your trust blossoms again.

In my case, after God healed one of my skin infection and devil tried to bring symptoms into my mind that it seem like it might be returning, God tells me "Remember where your healing comes from". And every time I accept and affirm that word, the false symptoms cease. What God has done for you is the greatest facilitator of praise and trust for what He is about to do. Consider Jeremiah; he said "Yet there is one ray of hope: his compassion never ends. It is only the Lord’s mercies that have kept us from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his loving-kindness begins afresh each day." (Lam 3:21-23 TLB). And as long as you can still remember, you'd never doubt or worry. Instead your faith will be strong and your worship will become a wild weapon to usher in more of the same.

"My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance; therefore I will hope in him. The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him, to those who seek for him.  It is good both to hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." (Lamentations 3:24-26 TLB).
