- Dwelling Above Principalities

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the Heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 54:17)

The Bible tells us Christ has placed us far above principalities and powers in the heavenly place (Ephesians 2:6), yet despite this we still find many believers being oppressed and tormented by the devil. He sits on their finances, health, well-being, marriage and sets limitations on them, and then you see this individual struggling. His finance is depleting, his health failing, well-being waning, marriage barely surviving, and his faith hardly standing. He or she becomes just the complete opposite of everything Jesus made us to be in Himself.

How can we under whose feet Satan has been sentenced (Romans 16:20) be trampled under by him? The Bible calls it a great evil; for princes as we are to walk while the devil seizes our horse of dominion (Eccl 10:7). But there's a reason behind it. There's a reason behind why they are not walking in this Realm of dominion.

Revelations 3:8 says "I know you well; you aren't strong, but you have tried to obey and have not denied my Name. Therefore I have opened a door to you that no one can shut" (TLB). Only those who keep God's Word have doors opened that no principality can contend with nor shut. This is what leads to the realm Isaiah spoke of in our theme verse; the same realm where God contends with this forces uninterruptedly in our behalf. He called it our heritage, but John showed us how we possess it. It is how Job did it for years before his trials came (Job 1:8-10); and it is the only way to fully possess this heritage in real time all the days of your life.

"If they listen and obey God, they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant. But if they refuse to listen to him, they will cross over the river of death, dying from lack of understanding." (Job 36:11-12 NLT)
