BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills and invigorated the congregation’s desire to build a traditional Hindu Mandir. The Baps Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills was dedicated and opened with great joy. This Mandir is the fifth traditional Hindu Mandir in North America.

Chanting the Holy Names and offering obeisances to the Holy Dieties and the devotees. BAPS USA Hindu temple, Hindu place of worship – a haven for spirituality and a place of paramount peace.

It is also a center vibrant with social, cultural, and spiritual activities. Sri Swaminarayan temple is surrounded by a brown walkway with structures (I can’t think of the word for what they’re called) with detailed carvings in their roofs. USA Hindu temple temple itself has even more detailed carvings on both the inside and the outside! It’s hard not to take a ton of photos because you just want to capture it all. History speaks, The stone work was all hand-carved in India and shipped to the U.S.. The exterior is Pink Indian Sandstone and the interior is comprised of Italian Marble. Construction took 1.3 Million Man Hours.

Many thanks to the over 900 Volunteers who worked on the six year construction of this gem. The temple was built to last 1,000 Years. temples here are so detailed in carvings, you can stare for a few hours and still miss some things. Can you get your face right up to see? Absolutely, but look, no touch! Height of temple, The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills received the City of Chino Hill’s unanimous approval to construct a traditional Mandir with spires up to 78 feet in August 2011.

Structure

Constructed from 35,000 pieces of meticulously hand carved Italian Carrara marble and Indian Pink sandstone, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Chino Hills, encompasses five pinnacles, two large domes, four balconies, 122 pillars and 129 archways.

From the external walls and domes to the inside pillars and ceilings, the Mandir is completely etched with intricate carvings in marble and sandstone. The 6,600 hand-carved motifs depict a mosaic of tales of inspiration, devotion and dedication, along with historical figures from Hinduism. Artisans created the carvings in India with great love, skill and patience before the pieces were shipped to Chino Hills.

Solar Power Generations

This mandir uses a solar power system to generate electricity and reduce adverse effects on the environment. The solar panel power system is expected to reduce 1,556 tons of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of planting 62,244 trees, over a 25 year period.
