Thankful Thursdays

Tags: thankful grant

For a hard-fought and conquered year. It was for the most part, for us, an overwhelming year, dealing with Mom’s illness and loss. The year seemed to whiz by painfully in slow motion. How crazy is that? Still, it is one more year to be Thankful for. One more year with those we love. I am grateful for all of the support we received day after day, and for the grace of God that got us through it all. Farewell, 2017! Looking forward to sharing 2018 with all of you.

Wishing everyone a fantastic year’s end, and a super blessed new year. To the other half of our wolfpack (currently on a different time zone): Kids, we miss you! Get la maleta ready, we’ll Facetime you!

Signing out for the year, today from atop the Grand Canyon. Until next Thursday’s post, everyone!…si Dios quiere.

What are you thankful for today?

“When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.”
-G. R.R. Martin

“Lord, as the New Year dawns today,
      Help me to put my faults away.
      Let me be big in little things;
      Grant me the joy which friendship brings;
      Keep me from selfishness and spite,
      Let me be wise to what is right.
A Happy New Year! grant that I
      May cause no tear to any eye.
      When this new year in time shall end,
      Let it be said: “I’ve played the friend,
      Have lived and loved and labored here
      And made of it a happy year.”
