Remove objects from photo on Mac | Snapheal

It’s no secret that nowadays it’s almost become a rule to post everything that happens to you on social networks, to describe what is happening, to discuss issues that are crucial or not so much, and, of course, all this is accompanied by beautiful photographs. But not all our photos turn out well. Especially if the picture was taken in a place with lots of people, which detracts from the subject matter. Usually it happens during travels, when you really want to convey the beauty of the Eiffel Tower or Niagara Falls. But we can tell you about an app that you can use to edit the picture so that your friends and acquaintances will not even be able to imagine that the photograph used to have some distracting elements.

There is a great app called Snapheal that you can use to eliminate unnecessary objects. You can use it to remove extra people from the frame, to hide skin blemishes, remove inscriptions, scratches, and other defects from images. Let’s see how it works. Let’s start by installing it: http://macphun.com/snapheal.

Using Snapheal

Let’s start! In our case, let’s take a look at the pets who can be difficult to capture well and without distracting elements.

I want to draw your attention to the objects that we will remove: the leash that is clearly a distraction, the knees of the man who is holding the leash, and the people in the background. Let’s begin. The application’s interface is very simple, there is nothing to stop you from easily adding the photo you want to edit. As usual, the menu is at the top and the toolbar is on the right. First, we have to identify the elements that need to be removed, it can be done by clicking on the brush. You can control the width of the outline by using Diameter. Use the cursor to select the elements you want, either point by point or linearly.

Once you have finished this easy job, you can clear the photo. Edit the file by clicking “Erase!” I’d like to note that when the application is processing your photo, a window pops up on the foreground to display interesting facts. That’s the developers making sure that users don’t get bored and are kept interested.

That’s what we get in the end. A beautiful shot without unnecessary distracting elements.

To the right of the brush you can find the eraser. In case you have accidentally removed something you didn’t mean to, you can use it to erase a little part of the selection. You do it by activating the eraser button and its adjustable diameter, and then proceed.

You can choose other ways to select your preferable elements. For example, if you choose a rectangle in the Selection tools, you will see the cursor appear on the image. You can use it to select the element to delete by clicking on it to capture the area to be removed.

Then click “Erase!” and get the picture you want.

You can see scissors in the menu bar. They can be used to crop your photo. Once you click the button, a grid will appear that looks like this.

By holding the cursor over the selected part, you can adjust the area of the field that will be cropped. You can choose a more convenient way by moving the mouse vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

Once you choose the area, you need to click on the scissors, and Snapheal will confirm if you really want to crop the image.

Select “Yes”, and the application will delete the selected outline.

The “+” and “-” buttons are used for zooming in and out. If the object that you need to remove is too small or textured, then using ‘+’ will be helpful.

There is also a set of advanced features that will help you make the picture even more perfect.

The Retouch and Adjust tabs provide options for brightness control, light and noise adjustment, color saturation, contrast, hues, sharpness, color temperature, cropping and more that can help in the processing of images in Snapheal.

You have probably noticed that the menu bar has a button that allows you to see the difference between the images.

As for me, the result is excellent. Immediately after processing, you can use the menu options to post your picture on one of the proposed social networks, to send by e-mail, or to simply save it to your Mac.

Snapheal—Simple and Effective

Experience has proven that the application is very simple to use and does not require spending extra time for detailed study of Photoshop or other more sophisticated programs, but it does have some nuances. Snapheal can only be used for editing amateur photos, as the quality of adjustments is not high enough. To edit professional shots you will need to do more than what we just showed you to achieve the desired level of quality.

One of the drawbacks of the application is its high cost, but if you try to edit at least one photo, you will realize that nothing could be easier, and you will not regret the expenditure of purchasing Snapheal.

Snapheal is one of the few applications that allow you to save the money you would have spent on the purchase of other fancy editors. You will also save a lot of time on studying the application’s mode of operation. Snapheal does an excellent job of editing photos within minutes.
