MIEE Spotlight- Andrew Howie

Today's MIEE Spotlight focuses on the amazing Andrew Howie, a primary school teacher and leader at Mearns Primary School in Scotland. Inspired at BETT by our very own Natalie Burgess, Andrew set out to develop the use of technologies within his own school and go on to inspire his own colleagues.

Andrew is passionate about utilising the tools available in Office 365 through Glow and incorporates these into his daily practice. Andrew has trained staff and students in the use of digital technologies such as Word Online, Sway, Immersive Reader and Yammer and been met with great enthusiasm for their uses to enhance teaching and learning. At his Primary School the weekly newsletter is shared through a colourful and interactive Sway and parent feedback is regularly gathered using Microsoft Forms. The school is also a heavy user of OneNote, with the majority of teachers completing their Forward Planning online, allowing for Senior Management to access them immediately and give feedback, this practice is also shared widely within the school's local authority.

You can follow @teacher_digital on Twitter to keep up to date with the amazing work he is doing.

Interact with the Sway below to see how Andrew is utilising Office 365to engage staff, students and parents!
