Last month Microsoft Education UK announced its partnership with London Grid For Learning on the Cloud Champions programme, a new game changing programme for innovative education institutions in London focused on leadership and pushing the boundaries of technology and learning. As part of this we are offering free drop-in sessions at our Microsoft Training Academy in Paddington.
In order for technology to really transform the way learners, educators and school leaders work, it is crucial that it is appropriately integrated into the educational environment and that those who will be using it are suitably trained. One of the aspects of the Cloud Champion programme is helping educators and school leaders understand the possibilities and best practices of tools such as Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Azure, and other cutting edge technologies currently available to all involved in shaping the minds of today's young learners.
As part of the Cloud Champion programme, Microsoft and LGfL are seeking 50 schools, academies, academy trusts and local authorities to work with in order to transform education in their schools, to integrate technology into their classrooms, and to share best practice.
“LGfL is delighted to be involved in a game changing technology partnership with Microsoft to help children reach their potential, inspire teachers and energise teaching and learning. The Cloud Champions programme will nurture excellence, incubate innovation and foster collaboration across the capital to accelerate opportunity for all schools and learners. We really look forward to working with educators to put London at the leading edge of digital teaching practice whilst working tirelessly to keep children safe and ensure no one gets left behind. Let's Get Digital!” - John Jackson, Chief Executive, LGfL
