Today's MIEE Spotlight shines on Lynsey McName, Curriculum Leader of Design, Engineering and Technology at Holy Rood RC High School in Edinburgh. Lynsey is passionate about using a variety of technologies in her classroom to enhance the learning of her pupils and loves sharing her knowledge and skills with other professionals in her area.

One tool in particular that Lynsey uses effectively in her Classroom, is OneNote Class Notebook as learning journals for her classes. She started this great work when she worked at St. Mungo's, a Microsoft Showcase School, and developed this further in her new role at Holy Rood. Using OneNote has allowed her to easily co-ordinate her Higher Graphic Communication Class to share course content and resources that her young people can access from any device at any time. She has also incorporated the use of Microsoft Forms to collate the views of her pupils in the school Pupil Voice Consultation. This allowed for a quick and easy analysis of the results, rather than collating lots of different bits of paper and spending hours working out the young people's opinions. Forms made all this so much more efficient and effective.

Lynsey is also involved in a wide range of Teach Meets and Professional Development opportunities for other teachers around the country, showing her passion and enthusiasm for using technology effectively in the classroom, to enhance the teaching and learning of the young people.
