On Tuesday, Microsoft Education are heading to Liverpool to attend Innovation in Education: Enhanced learning and engagement through technology, an event designed to get exclusive insights from key policy makers on the following topics:

• Enhance – How can Technology be used to enhance the learning environment and improve curriculums?
• Engage – What evidence is there that technology affects student engagement, and how can this evidence be used to create real change?
• Innovate – Why is innovative use of technology, rather than just innovations in technology, so important when it comes to equipping children with the skills for a digital world?

Speaking at the event is Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Natalie Burgess, one of our Microsoft Teacher Ambassadors and was a Primary 3 teacher at Kirklandneuk Primary School in Renfrewshire for 6 years. She has always had a passion for technology in the classroom and was the ICT Co-ordinator in the school for a number of years, introducing Digital Leaders across the whole school. Since then Natalie has become a Microsoft Innovative Educator and a Microsoft Certified Educator. Natalie has been training other teachers how to use technology effectively in the classroom through CPL sessions, presenting at the Scottish Learning Festival and also the BETT Show in London.

Natalie will be showing all attendees Microsoft in Education, and how she is aiming towards Microsoft’s mission: empowering every student on the planet to achieve more. Natalie will be showcasing Office 365, and all of the wonderful features available, for example OneNote Learning Tools.
