ESPN Dominates Sports Media Publishers in June Social Actions (Report)

ESPN blew away the rest of the Sports Media Publishers field in terms of social actions during June, according to a study by Shareablee.

Shareablee said ESPN generated 144.1 million social actions in June—94.5 million on Instagram, 35.6 million on Facebook and 13 million on Twitter—with a 9 percent jump in video actions compared with May and a 60 percent rise in amplification (shares and retweets).

Bleacher Report finished a distant second with 49 million June Social Actions, but it topped Facebook video actions for the month, at 9.2 million.

YouTube was led by Fox Sports, with 266,000 actions in June.

The National Basketball Association’s NBA.com had the most growth among the top 10 compared with the prior month, 32 percent, fueled by a 33 percent leap in Facebook actions.
