The Client
The client is a leading security and network managed services provider based in the US.
The Need
The client had a crashed Sharepoint 2013 environment with a corrupt database and needed to recover the database and set up SharePoint 2013 site and migrate to SharePoint Online.
The Challenge
The database had been corrupted and it was discovered that the SharePoint 2013 server was infected with a malware attack and had challenges recovering the database
Solution
Our expert consultants recovered the database and set up the entire site collection in SharePoint 2013 and then migrated the site to SharePoint Online. The solution involved recovering the database through some Powershell scripts and with a proprietary database recovery tool from Kernel which led to the database recovery.
Once the database was recovered, the entire site content was retrievable and the site collection along with its data and content were retrieved.
Star Knowledge also set up the fallback mechanism with a failover server setup on their SharePoint farm in case of any eventualities of a site failure.
Benefits
- Database and contents that were considered lost were recovered Successfully.
- The customer was able to get up and running with the SharePoint site with high availability.
