Thanks to this very useful post, I resolved this annoying problem:
Task Bar Application Search show a black screen.

The very easy solution is to add a DWORD registry key to the path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search
The key name is
BingSearchEnabled
and you have to set its value to 0.
Then you have to kill the
explorer.exe
and all the Search processes in suspended status.
Restart then the explorer.exe process.
