4 Best Homemade Tips for the Gorgeous Glowing Skin

Are you one of those brides who shy away from harsh chemicals on the face? If you are, we’re sure you’re being pestered by aunts and friends to go get a facial done even as you whimper at the idea of having ‘lab-tested’ substances applied to your Face. But we’ve got your back – here are some of our best kept secrets from grandma’s treasure chest for glowing skin, all for you!

1. Fruit-faced

While you should be eating your regular quota of fruits and veggies to get a healthy, natural glow on your face, it is also important to cleanse and look after the outer surface of the skin to get rid of impurities that stick onto your facial pores. Start by dabbing raw milk on your face, this acts as a total cleanser, getting rid of dirt that has dug itself deep into your pores. Then follow it up by rubbing a slice of pineapple on your freshly washed and dried face. Pineapple has acidic properties and it may burn a little, but don’t worry. If the burning feeling persists or gets too much to handle immediately wash your face. Follow this up with a mashed banana and honey pack to retain the moisture and cleansing your face, giving it a soft feel and radiant glow.

2. Express Facial

If you don’t have the time to do an extensive cleansing-scrubbing-moisturizing routine, this one bowl face mask packs in all of it at once, leaving you with a smooth and brighter face within minutes. Simply add crushed papaya, aloe vera pulp, juice of one lemon and a teaspoon of honey and mix well until it is a homogenous mix. Wash your face and pat it dry before applying this mix. Let the pack dry off for about 10-15 minutes and rinse well. This pack cleanses, moisturizes and gives a de-tanning effect as well.

3. Breakfast spa

This one’s called so, because it uses breakfast items to make the perfect face pack. A great option for any skin type, this calls for a mashed up mix of apple and olive oil mixed with some lemon juice and honey. Apply this mix generously on your face and leave it on for sometime. Rinse off well and follow it up with an oatmeal-milk scrub to gently remove the dead skin and black heads. Lastly, use an all natural mint-cucumber toner by mixing crushed mint leaves and cucumber with two tablespoons of plain yogurt.

4. Dry skin nourishment

If your skin is extremely dry and tanned in parts, this works wonders! Cleanse your face with olive oil or coconut oil instead of using raw milk or a store bought facial cleanser and follow up by applying tomato juice on your face to cleanse and de-tan your face effectively.
