Valentine’s Gifts

Valentine’s Day is the day of Love, so show the ones you love a little fun. Unlike common belief, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be extravagant and rich, it just needs to be thoughtful and creative! Here are a few fun ideas for your significant other, or your girls!

For Your Love

Sometimes not everyone likes Chocolate (I know, insane!). Make something savory instead for your significant other, like bacon roses! Wrap bacon into a spiral and place in a cupcake sheet, then bake in the oven. Buy fake roses at the store and cut out the flower, replacing it with the bacon treat!

Not a meat lover? Try getting something small and custom on etsy. Many stores sell custom engraved key chains, get a Cute one that pertains to what he loves. If he’s a fisherman, a cute fish hook with your initials would show a Gift from the heart.

For Your Friends

Not everyone has a romantic interest on Valentine’s Day, so cheer up your girls with little gifts that count! Rather than have her disappointed with no flowers, help her grow her own. Buy a little pot and decorate it, and finish with a pack of her favorite flower’s seeds. This inexpensive gesture is kind and a way to get your creativity flowing.

Or, give her the most decadent sweet of all, homemade Truffles. Guaranteed to be better than anything in the stores, these truffles packed with chocolate and richness. Feel free to use a different spice than cardamom, or just go for plain chocolate! The recipe yields a lot, so split it up between a few people. The best part is after you cut the truffles, you can stamp them with letters to create cute little messages. Pack in a fun, festive box and be sure to save some for yourself!
