The latest ruling (though it’s not that new) has Caused a massive stir amongst netizens. AiraAsia has enforced that their Luggage limit of 7KG is to be included in both your backpack and carry-on luggage. Which means you’re allowed to only bring a TOTAL of 7KGs irrespective of how many bags you carry.
To make matters worst, they are now forcing all passengers to weigh their luggage, even small carry-ons before boarding. That itself has caused a massive queue of up to a few hours!! Some were heard to be even missing their flight because of it.
If a luggage is found to be heavier than the permitted amount, passenger will either have to rearrange their luggage, either by wearing extra clothes on themselves, or simply throw it away. Many of the passengers were frustrated and brought their anger online – by sharing it on Facebook.
Of course, it went viral but received two very opposite responses. One of which supports the action of AirAsia, where the luggage allowance was already stated clearly beforehand, while the other, criticizing AirAsia and its inefficiency to sort it out.
Whatever it may be, it’s best to come early before your next flight to avoid any unnecessary troubles.
