Navaratri is upon us and the people of India are busy celebrating it with great passion, zeal, vigor and fervor. The days of Navaratri will be followed by Dussehra or Vijayadashami. According to hindu belief, this day this day signifies the triumph of good over evil. According to mythology Lord Rama fought and won his battle against Ravana and rescued his wife Sita from him. This great victory of Lord Rama signifies the victory of good over evil. Another belief to Dussehra is that this is the day that Goddess Durga killed the demon Mahishasura to protect people. Dussehra 2017 will be celebrated on the 30th of September 2017 and the Dashamitithi begins on 11:49 pm on 20th September and ends on 1:35 am on October 1st.
