One painful area that has seen the most significant impact over the last year due to the Coronavirus was school. Children lose out on some of the most critical time to learn social and educational skills. With most schools doing some sort of hybrid learning, or even still being fully remote, usual Easter crafts might be a little harder — but you don’t have to take them off the table just yet.
Shaking up the Classic Egg Decoration
No Easter craft is more iconic than the colored egg that comes around. However, since it is more challenging to go shopping or to find eggs in some areas, here are some quick and easy replacements that could do the trick:
- Consider using a simple cardboard cutout of an egg with some paint. All this requires is some scissors, cardboard, and some poster paint.

One craft that is always fun is a paper plate bunny. Break out a paper plate, some markers, colored pencils, crayons, and even some pipe cleaners to have a fancy pants bunny!
Another pretty easy craft would be a paper roll bunny stamp, especially given how much stockpiled TP some people already have. All you need to use is the cardboard roll from inside a roll of toilet paper, a bit of glue, and maybe some glitter to give that bunny some extra sparkle!
Time to Break out a Bingo or Party Game!
One thing that many children have been cheated of in the last year is parties and party games. For those who have a way to get a physical copy to your students, this could be a fun way to use a remote day (and for those who are fully remote, please feel free to create a digital version)!
One quick and easy game would be an Easter bingo game. Set up some music, have a collection of Easter-themed candy or prizes, and you could make some of your students’ day.
Another quick idea might be to do a scavenger hunt of sorts. This might be especially good for either a digital school because you could ask the kids to hunt down a collection of simple Easter themed items they might be able to find.
Overall, your Easter crafts are only limited by your budget and imagination, so feel free to go crazy this year!
