I´ve written music to this one and

want to have it sung at my funeral!

Don’t be unhappy, don’t be sad
I’ll tell you why you should be glad
For Jesus made a solemn vow
And I’m with Him in heaven now

He said “If you believe in Me
Ye shall have life eternally”
He’s always been my faithful friend
From birth to death,
from start to end

And now I praise Him all day long
With thankful prayer
and joyous song
I ask you to rejoice for me
For God’s dear love
has set me free

Please ask Him into your life too
For there’s a place with me for you
Then re-united we shall be
As one, for all eternity

This poem was written for a dying lady in a hospice

Fear not my child, for I love you
I’ll always be by your side
Rest gently my child, I am with you
With me you do not need to hide

All your fears and worries are human
And I understand every one
But your future with me is certain
Because of my love and my Son

Your time on this earth is but fleeting
My dearest child, do you not see
I love you so much that I want you
To live here in heaven with me

And please don’t be sad
for your loved ones
Who now say a tearful goodbye
In what seems an instant they’ll join you
With me in our heavenly sky

This one was for niece Janet when she lost her unborn child

MY Precious CHILD

It broke my heart to lose you
I can’t describe the pain
But I know you’re in heaven now
And we will meet again
With every day that passes
You stay here in my heart
So in a way, my precious child,
We never are apart
You’ll be with me for ever
Until my life is through
Then we will spend eternity
Together, me and you

These were written for our niece Julie,

who died of breast cancer aged 30

Dearest Jesus, precious Lord
How I love to hear your Word
Daily does my spirit rise
As I reach towards the prize
In Your love my soul can rest
Strengthened now for any test
In Your Word my life will be

Ever Yours, in victory

Don’t you want her to be free?
Let her come and rest in Me
Then in glory shall she be
Living, in eternity

Do not grieve too much for Julie
My child can you not see
She is MY lovely daughter
I wanted her with me

It’s not for you to understand
Or know the reason why
But just to trust Me all your life
Until the day you die

Then all will be revealed to you
The truth will set you free
And you will join your loved ones here
In paradise with Me

It’s so hard to let go of
someone you love
You want them with you,
not in heaven above

You want to be able
to tell them you care
And once more the chatter
and laughter to share

It doesn’t seem right,
and it’s not fair you know
You want them still here
but it was their time to go

You want to lash out
but inside you just know
The thing that you need
to do now, is let go

You have to hand over
the one that you love
And let them rest peacefully
now in God’s love

I rejoice for Julie
Safely in your arms
Free from worldly troubles
Now at peace and calm

I give thanks for Julie
For the love she gave
Love that you now give her
As her soul You save

I relinquish Julie
To Your loving care
Evermore to be at peace
in heaven with You there
I value your comments .... please leave them via this link .....

1949 - 2015

A big kind man with a great sense of fun
Respected by all and second to none
Everyone loved him and though we're apart
Memories of Brian will live in our heart
