Kyle Erickson – T-girl Artist Extraordinaire!

Every so often we at Tranny Lives like to bring you interviews that are little different from the ones we normally do. Over the past few months we've been noticing the beautiful @EvaCassini on Twitter, and truth be told, we've developed a bit of a crush over her (and evidently, we’re not the only ones)!! While looking at her pics, we began to notice that she has a lot of really cool pin-up artwork pics that she frequently posts in her profile. In fact, they’re so good that we decided to do a little investigation and discovered that the artist is Kyle Erickson … a guy we already followed on Twitter and friended on Facebook! Kyle is an artist who hails from Virginia and is beginning to make a name for himself by creating artwork for some of the hottest T-girls on Twitter today. Besides Eva, he’s drawn for Claire Summers, Kelly Clare Nikki Tanikawa, and Jessica Eden, among many others. But as you will see, Kyle is anything but a one-dimensional artist and his knowledge and experience in the art world runs pretty deep. In addition to his artwork, Kyle is a really good guy and a fun person to get to know. We highly recommend following him on Twitter and checking out his blogs and Facebook page.

Seditio:
I mainly associate your work with the drawing you do for Eva Cassini, but I know that she wasn't your first muse! Who was the first T-girl you ever drew for?
Kyle Erickson:
Funny enough, the first Tgirl I ever drew was someone i met on a chat site. Her name is Sarah, and I think I've Drawn for her more often then anyone else.

Sed:
I see you went to the Art Institute. What was that experience like?
K.E:
It was an interesting and eye-opening experience. I sadly didn't get to graduate, but I wouldn't have traded in what I learned there.

Sed:
Did they teach you figure drawing, or did you pick that up yourself?
K.E:
I learned a lot about figure Drawing at the Institute, but I can honestly say that I learned more on my own.

Sed:
What artist inspires you the most?
K.E:
There is a long list, but two of the most influential artists on my own work are Olivia De Berardinis and Dave Stevens.
Sed:
Good choices, Olivia has been doing work for Playboy for years!

Sed:
Do you do art as a profession, of is it just a hobby?
K.E:
It is mainly a hobby at this point. But I'm always happy to sell the drawings that I have posted on my blog.

Sed:
Did you ever study the masters at school, if so, who are your favorite artists? (I've always been a fan of the Rembrandt / Dutch era)
K.E:
I only took one class on Art History, but immedietlly feel in love with the Nuevo era of art, from the 20s and 30s, in particular Alphonse Mucha!
Sed:
Yeah, Mucha’s work is beautiful and classy and defined that 20’s era postcard art. (we recommend Googling “Alphonse Mucha”)

Sed:
What art style do you like to draw?
K.E:
I like to think of my art style as being cartoon/comic/pinup style.

Sed:
Do you prefer doing art in B&W pencil or Color?
K.E:
B & W pencil

Sed:
I see many, may Eva Cassini drawings… who approached whom first and what was that like?
K.E:
She actually was the one that approached me. I had been posting art on my blog and Facebook for a while. We talked a little, so I could find out what she was interested in, and then started doodling.

Sed:
How long have you been drawing Eva for now?
K.E:
I actually first drew Eva several months ago, but have been drawing her a whole lot for the last month.

Sed:
What is it about Eva that you like the most?
K.E:
I love the fact she has the good-girl-next-door look, but when she smiles, you see that she is really a VERY kinky girl.
Sed:
Yeah, kinky, cool and fun... no better combination than that!

Sed:
Have you drawn Jamie French yet?
K.E:
Nope, haven't drawn Jamie yet, but planning to!
Sed:
Can’t wait to see those when your done... Jamie is pretty hot too!

Sed:
I've always had a bit of a crush on Jessica Eden. I see you have drawn her too. What is she like to work with?
K.E:
oh *lol* yeah... I've actually drawn her quite a bit. she's a fun girl, and i count myself very lucky to count her as a friend

Sed:
Tell me a little about Nikki Tanikawa… have you drawn her yet?
K.E:
Nikki Tanikawa is a friend of mine that i met through a photo-sharing site called Flickr. She is a Tgirl from North Carolina, and I think I have probably drawn her a good dozen or so times. I have posted several of my drawings of her on my blog, and have plans for more!

Sed:
Do you know which of your drawing has gotten the most blog views?
K.E:
My most viewed blog post is one I did of Sarina Valentina. She is a model that I haven't really talked to much, but have always enjoyed drawing. (Blog post http://iheartpinups.blogspot.com/2012/07/i-cant-deny-from-minute-i-first-found.html )

Sed:
Which erotic drawing are you most proud of?
K.E:
I don't have any particular drawing that I'm most proud of, but whenever a model tells me that the drawing I did of them actually made them hard/wet, I can't help but feel some major pride!

Sed:
Do you do other art work that has nothing to do with adult themes?
K.E:
I also do abstract paintings, mainly with acrylics, and some other experimental pencil stuff. Either way, it's all for fun.

Sed:
I see that most of your models are T-girls. Do you draw genetic girls as well?
K.E:
Oh yes! Tho' most of the genetic girls I draw are from my own imagination, or that I find in various fashion mags.

Sed:
Are T-girls a big fantasy of yours! I can certainly understand if they are!!
K.E:
Oh yes, I've often fantasized about beautiful Tgirls!

Sed:
How many different T-girls have you drawn for now?
K.E:
I don't have a certain number in mind, but I would say it's been a good dozen different Tgirls that I have used as muses.

Sed:
Is there any specific model you wish would ask you to draw her??
K.E:
Surprisingly, it isn't a Tgirl *lol* I think I would faint if Fetish-Goddess Susan Wayland asked me to draw her.
Sed:
lol - I admit I had to Google her, but holy crap, she would be amazing to draw! She is stunning!

Sed:
Your favorite comic books are? Who is your favorite comic book artist?
K.E:
I've been a long time fan of Spider-man and Captain America as long as I can remember. I've also been reading a lot of the Fantastic Four, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Savage Dragon, Bone (no new issues, just re-reading the whole series). My fav comic artist, hands down, is John Romita Sr, I can say, his art is one of the main reasons I picked up a pencil and started drawing pretty girls.

Sed:
Marvel or DC ??
K.E:
Both!

Sed:
Your favorite Marvel character is_______?
K.E:
Spider-man! Sed: A definite classic!

Sed:
Your favorite DC character is _________?
K.E:
My fav DC is actually a team, The Metal Men!

Sed:
Star Wars or Star Trek?
K.E:
Star Wars! The Empire Strikes Back was actually the first movie I ever saw, and Return of the Jedi is the first movie I remember seeing on the big screen.
Sed:
I’m with you on Star Wars! You need to get Eva in a Stormtrooper uniform!

Sed:
I saw the pic on your Facebook page… Darth Vader vs. Batman… who wins?
K.E:
Batman.... I'm not sure exactly how it would go down, but Batman would be the victor in the end.

Sed:
Have you begun to sell your work?
K.E:
I sell pieces on occasion, but nothing on a regular basis. I am willing to sell most pieces that are on my blogs.
Sed:
(We did talk about this a little more... he’s prices are very reasonable and is more than willing to do custom work!)

Sed:
Do you do custom work for girls on request?
K.E:
I do, it all depends on the girl.

Sed:
Have you ever drawn erotic work with guys?
K.E:
Yeah, but only if there are girls in the pic too :-P
Sed:
That makes sense

Sed:
Where can your fans go to see all of your stuff?
K.E:
The best place to see my art is on my blog http://iheartpinups.blogspot.com/ I also have a facebook account where i interact with friends and fans https://www.facebook.com/thefakekyle and twitter https://twitter.com/EvasArtSlaveKy

Sed:
