Those familiar with the history of internet directories would agree that Alive Directory has been known for years to be one of the popular general directory destinations on the internet striving to maintain the right balance between strict editorial control of the user submitted content and the wide acceptance of the diversity offered by the internet by sites and informational resources from all walks of life, various geographies and areas of human interests.

In June 2014 Alive Directory went through a change in ownership and  the new site administration is happy to announce that the directory blog is alive again. We consider the blog to be a perfect venue to share some exciting news and the future plans we have in place for directory development commonly referred to as the roadmap.

As a first order of business we upgraded the directory design hopefully making it easier and more appealing for general visitor use. Design upgrade is just the first step in our plans to improve the directory and grow the army of our followers and fans.

Short term roadmap – 1-3 months

• further interface improvements – adding the list of most popular categories on the home page, “site of the month” featuring editorial review of one of the most interesting submissions made during the month
• better support system including a ticketing solution to streamline processing of requests to change the status of a given link (including requests for link removal)
• affiliate program

Mid-term roadmap – 3-6 months

• live online support for submissions and link issue resolution
• partner program for parties interested in multiple submissions with separate interface
