As you probably know by now, blogs are a great SEO technique and build credibility for the site and the business, showing solid, consistent, current activity that search engines take notice of.
Visitors add to the site via the blog comments and questions and enhance the ranking and elevate the importance around keywords and phrases, based upon what is introduced to the internet and linking to the site. If it is really engaging it will easily be shared via social media.
The technique to get more for the effort
Create two blogs a week and post them at your Web site. Submit the blogs to blog and RSS feed Submission Sites with highest page rank (PR 5 and up). Each time you add content to a site such as a blog, submit the site’s URL to search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and others to be indexed.
In addition to a blog where you might invite comments from others, use an RSS feed at the Web site (or, add /feed at the end of each blog URL when placing it in RSS field in blog submission forms).
Share each blog on as many Social Networking Sites and blog submission sites as relevant. Social networking has proven to be a fast way to get the website URL information onto the Internet and get it noticed by search engines.
Combine and edit the two blogs into one informative Article and submit the article as a press release to as many press release submission sites as you want to pay for. PR Web is a good place and reasonably priced. (Review PR Web prices vs. distribution.) But note, Google and other search engines will only post one version of content. Ezinearticles.com, for example, will not post an article at all if it has identical content appearing elsewhere on the Internet. Hence, the next step.
Rewrite/edit the article with the same information but in different ways (also known as spinning) and submit the spun articles to as many free article submission sites as you can make time for, never using the same version, thereby only offering original content to each site. Be sure the piece is relevant to specific categories.
Now, some people suggest that since Google implemented algorithms Penguin, Panda, Hummingbird and who knows what other creature is in the works, that article submission is a thing of the past, but editors at press release sites are still hungry for good quality content.
So, as long as your press release article reads like information and not an advertisement, your press release will get published. This is where a good SEO copywriter is invaluable to your online marketing.
Repeat the process each week; two more blogs, combining the blogs to an article, and spinning multiple versions of the article, and submitting to submission sites.
