  • Add hours of operation: Having your hours of operation visible lets customers know when you are available. Incorrect information being listed may result in missed opportunities for your business.
  • Add additional service areas: Businesses have the option to add their business address and up to 20 different areas of service. You can choose between ZIP codes, cities, and counties. Take advantage of this to maximize your digital footprint.
  • Update the business category and subcategories: Your primary category and subcategory choices can affect how you rank locally on Google. There are over 3,000 Google Business Profile categories as of 2021. Choose a primary category that describes your business in full and be specific. Be specific when choosing your subcategories, as well, but be sure to choose subcategories that further amplify your business offerings to online searchers. For example, if “roofing contractor” is your main primary category, but you offer siding services and/or insulation services, you can add siding contractor and/or insulation contractor as a subcategory.
  • Add products and services: The products and services section is a great way to display and educate potential customers of your offered products and services.

A mobile-friendly website, as outlined by Google, is a website that is responsive, follows a consistent format across all devices, and makes it easy for customers to complete their objectives. The title tag clearly outlines what the page in question is about, mentions the location, has a value proposition, and is less than 60 characters.

The meta description discusses in detail what the page is about, mentions the location, has value propositions, a strong CTA, and is less than 150 characters.

4. Optimize Your Website’s Content

When it comes to any successful roofer SEO strategy, one of the first things that come to mind is content. Content is a form of information that can be digested by a consumer searching on the web. Some examples of content include:
