Be Relaxed, Confident, and in Control: The Optimal Mindset to Success

“Never bend your head. Always hold it high. Look the world straight in the face.”
                                                                                                         Helen Keller

“Whatever we expect with confidence becomes our own self-fulfilling prophecy.”
                                                                                                          Brian Tracy

“Confidence is courage at ease.”
                                               Daniel Maher

I believe that one of the most common wishes is simply to feel more Confident in various situations in life. But how? Have you ever made a great decision and have felt bad, depressed, morose and really uptight, and tense?  But with an optimal mind-set, you can achieve whatever you want to have in your life, may be successful career, harmony in personal life and a good balance between personal and professional life. What actually this optimal mind-set and how can we get there?

Your Optimal Mindset is one where you feel relaxed, confident and in control. This applies to everything you do, for that matter any other activity where you are pursuing excellence. If you have properly mapped everything, you are more likely to be in the right frame of mind.

When you think about it, this makes a perfect sense. When you feel relaxed, your body and mind can operate at their optimum performance level because they are unrestricted by the friction caused by tension, stress, and bad, uncluttered thought patterns. Being relaxed means you can physically and mentally operate smoothly. Don’t confuse relaxation with lying on the couch, sleeping, or watching T.V. Relaxation means to get yourself into a state where your mind is alert, free, and uncluttered and your muscles are soft and completely free of tension. If you press down and the muscles are soft and you experience no pain, then you are nearer the relaxed state you need to be in. With office-type occupations, tension tends to make obvious around your neck and shoulder area. You need to be free of that.

Secondly, you have to be confident about your capability. Sometimes fear and apprehensions for future dwindle down the confidence level but that should be shunned. If you have credible plans and strategy and have learnt various techniques to tackle the situation, you should start feeling more confident in your ability to make consistent and sustained outcomes of your efforts.

If you are relaxed and you are confident, then you have better chance of being in control too. And if you are in control of your actions and emotions, then the virtuous cycle will ensue and you will become more relaxed and confident as well. All the time you talk about a calm and smooth approach to your work, you are sure to have the speed of thought, hunger, and confidence to make important decisions quickly, efficiently and effectively.
