We Live Inside Our Heads

There are couple of things you can’t live without, one is your action and other is your thought. We spend lot of time in thinking ,taking decisions ,evaluating results of our past actions. If we divide our Attention it would either be in the past or in the future. Rarely we live in the present moment. When in the present moment you would mostly be doing something and when we do something we usually do it Mechanically. With out giving any thought to our action , for eg when you drive you keep making plans inside your head.

This constant internal dialogue never calms down. We live inside our heads. The other day Me and Anand were at Railway station at Haridwar where both of us were talking about impact of thoughts on people , this is a routine activity for us , its amazing to see the crowd from some vantage point. How busy everybody is …people laughing , some smoking , some negotiating for cheaper taxi etc…

And some were just busy with their cell phones , looking at latest something…I dont know what . We have become mechanical. We are experts in multitasking and thinking all at the same time. Life is losing its appeal to our senses. Nature is being ignored at the most cruel level. The breeze last night was just thrilling but people were busy in their cell phones and ATM lines , all complaining about something .

Anyways , my point is how we do what we do ?  If you would Pay Attention to your working style and whatever you do in the entire day there are few things we do just for the heck of it, like brushing teeth in the morning, taking a  bath and yes doing our routine puja.

Any action if devoid of intent and conscious thought doesn’t add one thing to us and that’s called Wisdom or experience. We may think we know the right way to act , but I am sure the right way to act has to be blended with Right Emotions as well.

What is Right Emotion

We all have mixed emotions when we are in the middle of something , usually at the start most of the people love what they have started , unless it was work assigned by your boss. But this passion and zeal soon goes away and we become mechanical. In the beginning we are some what excited to learn a new thing , and we pay attention to the process but soon it dies away. Why we stop enjoying doing the same thing again and again.

In our business of consulting ,I have met with many students , professionals who know too much yet their results are not as per their knowledge. Perhaps the lack of interest in what they do is the real cause. Right emotion to do anything is to enjoy the process. Most of the time our focus is on the end result , we miss the simple game of enjoying the journey.

Phenomenal results can be obtained if we focus on the process and not on the final result. This ensures one thing and that’s your ability to improve every step of the process. This may be a weird example to put , but if you cross question yourself on some routine task you’d know that you don’t actually improve the way you do it, you just keep doing it the way you first learned it.

Take an example of LION when he hunts he constantly changes his moves with the moves of his prey. Picture below will help you recall my message.

Hope to see you in action like above. Rise and Shine.
