Much has been said and done about Religion, it seem it is a debate that will never have an end. Many a times celebrities are targeted, they are asked questions about religious controversies and any comment they make is often blown out of proportion.

These days a lot is going on, the fumes of the ‘Sonu- Azaan row’ has still not dried out, everyday their is some disturbing case about the Triple talaq, amidst all this, come a video by the phenomenal actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

In the video, the actor has said nothing but hold many written cards with messages. With the help of those cards he tells what makes him who he is, what Defines him truly.

Nawaz holds cards that say that he had his DNA tested and found out that he his 16,66% Hindu, 16,66% Muslim ,16.66% Sikh and 16.66% Christian and Buddhist and any other religion in the world.

But when he discovered his ‘soul’, he found that he was 100% an ‘Artist’! Which stands true, he sends a powerful message for all, we cannot choose our DNA, we cannot choose what religion we are born into, but we can choose who we are.

Him being an artist is his only identity. He shall not be known by what last name he carries, but will be known for what he wants to be, what he works for.

He is an artist above all, and we should learn this too. We are a lot more than religion. Maybe by this approach we will finally move over this unnecessary religion-divide.
