The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that there were “no serious concerns” about skipper Virat Kohli’s Shoulder injury, which he picked up while fielding on the opening day of the third Test match against Australia on Thursday in Ranchi.

Kohli injured his shoulder in the 40th over, when he chased a drive from Peter Handscomb off left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja. He went off the field immediately, and did not return for the rest of the day, with Ajinkya Rahane standing in as captain.
