Adding to the string of embarrassments the Congress party is facing since its multiple losses in the recent assembly elections, President Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee slammed a tweet made by the Congress party’s official twitter handle.

The Congress party official twitter handle shared an image of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi with and image of President Pranab Mukherjee and captioned the image ‘Shri Rajiv Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee, in 1985′ to which Sharmistha hit back.

In response, Sharmistha tweeted ‘At least have the courtesy to add ‘Shri’ before Pranab Mukherjee as he happens to be the current President of India.’

The Congress party tweet was later deleted when it went viral.

However, some twitterati had already taken a screenshot of the original tweet.
