Noida Twin Tower Case: SC Asks Supertech Builders To Deposit Rs 10 Crore

The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Supertech Builders to deposit Rs 10 crore before its registry which would be used to refund flat buyers in case of demolition of the two Towers of Emerald Building Project in Noida.

This way the people who invested in the Emerald Court building in Noida will not be disillusioned, said the apex court.

Earlier, Supretech Builders had refunded Rs 5 crore to the flat owners.

Meanwhile, the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) has submitted its report in the controversial Supertech twin towers in Noida case. The Supreme Court had asked NBCC to submit the report on the distance between the two buildings that were ordered to be demolished by the Allahabad high court for violation of norms. The apex court will hold hearing in this case on November 23.

Meanwhile, the flat buyers gathered in court today seeking either possession of their respective flats or a refund.

Supertech is the third real estate giant have come under judicial scrutiny for not refunding money to the buyers.
