CHRIS: 40-YEAR-OLD ANDREW JOHN Jones WORKS AT THIS OFFICE OFF OF HIGHWAY 17/92 HIS PLANS TO BE ELECTED AS THE SIX GROUP SEMINOLE COUNTY JUDGE WERE DERAILED BY A POLICE INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGED UNDERAGE SEX AN ARREST AFFIDAVIT SHOWS THE 16 OR 17-YEAR-OLD VICTIM WAS WORKING ON JONES’ CAMPAIGN AT HIS HOUSE IN LONGWOD ON AUGUST 16TH. AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE, THE DOCUMENT SAYS JONES STARTED KISSING AND MAKING OUT WITH HER AND PUT HIS ARMS AROUND HER. THE TWO THEN ALLEGEDLY WENT UPSTAIRS TO HIS BEDROOM AND HAD SEX. THE NEXT DAY, JONES ASKED THE VICTIM IF SHE WAS ON BIRTH CONTROL, AND THEN ALLEGEDLY PURCHASED A CONTRACEPTIVE PILL FROM THIS CVS ON STATE ROAD 434. THE TEENAGE VICTIM MET UP WITH DETECTIVES A FEW DAYS LATER TO TELL THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENE THE VICTIM SAID ANDREW JONES WORE A BLACK BASEBALL HAT WITH WHITE LETTERING ON THE FRO WITH THE WORDS “ALL PRO DAD” WHILE HE WAS BUYING THE CONTRACEPTIVE. DOCUMENTS SAY DETECTIVES LOOKED THROUGH THE CVS’ SURVEILLANCE VIDEO AND REPORTEDLY SAW A MAN MATCHING JONES’ DESCRIPTION WALK INTO THE STORE AND BUY SOMETHIN THEY SEARCHED HIS HOUSE AND FOUND THE BLACK HAT AND DNA EVIDENCE THAT WAS LINKED TO DNA ON THE VICTIM’S CLOTHES. THE SEMINOLE COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS’ OFFICE RECEIVED THIS LETTER DATED AUGUST 26 FROM JONES, STATING HE WAS DROPPING OUT OF THE JUDGE RACE. THE 40-YEAR-OLD LAWYER WAS ARRESTED ON MONDAY. HE WAS RELEASED ON TUESDAY AFTER POSTING $150,000 BON WE SPOKE TO ONE OF THE ATTORNEYS REPRESENTING JONES. HE SAYS THEY ARE OPTIMISTIC THAT AFTER COOPERATING WITH THE STATE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE, THIS CASE
