Up until last month, he was running for a judicial seat, but now he’s accused of having sex with a teenage girl.
The girl, who is 16 or 17 years old, says she was working on his Jones judicial campaign at his Longwood home last month.
She says at some point he started kissing her, and they ended up having sex.
The girl says the next day, they met up to do more campaign work, and Jones took her to the store for the “morning after pill.”
Less than a week later, the incident was reported to deputies.
Jones was arrested Monday night and charged with sexual battery.
He’s bonded out of jail.
If you’re wondering why you’re not seeing his mug shot, it’s because he was once an assistant state attorney, so he’s exempt from having that released.
