Head-on crash kills three after driver tries to cross on SW Minnesota bridge – Twin Cities


REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. — The State Patrol says a head-on crash in southwestern Minnesota has killed three individuals, together with a toddler.
Authorities say 34-year-old Shaunna Kraft of Lakefield was making an attempt to cross one other car on a bridge on U.S. 71 close to Morton about 5 p.m. Saturday when she collided head-on with a minivan pushed by 41-year-old Teresa Linde of Redwood Falls.
Each drivers died on the scene. Additionally killed was a 1-year-old in Kraft’s automotive, Brexlee Brian Thammalong.
Neither driver was carrying a seat belt, in keeping with the State Patrol. It was not recognized if the kid who died was restrained.
The patrol says two others in Kraft’s automotive, Khampong Thammalong, 27, and Ryler Loren Ybarra, 7, suffered life-threatening accidents. Thammalong was transported to Hennepin County Medical Middle and Ybarra to Kids’s Hospital in St. Paul.
