After his remarkable performance on Project Fame in 2004, Darey has progressed and participated in several widely viewed TV shows. He has hosted shows like Access The Stars and Project Fame and acted as a judge on Nigerian Idols. Now, Darey is set to coach new talents on critically acclaimed TV series, The Voice. 

Darey will be acting as a coach alongside Waje, Yemi Alade and Falz. The multi-platinum selling artiste, songwriter and entertainer has over the past few years, shared stages with the biggest stars in the music industry including Jay Z, Beyonce, Sean Paul, Akon, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Cardi B and others. We’re looking forward to seeing him bring his wealth of experience to play as he coaches budding artists on the show. 

The announcement of Darey’s role as a coach on The Voice 2020, is coming off his first music release after a five-year hiatus. On August 14, Darey released his new single titled ‘Jah Guide Me’, accompanied by a stunning music video. 

Before his new release, Darey has released several hit singles, including the groundbreaking Afro R&b cut, “Escalade”; “Carry Dey Go” featuring Afro-pop legend, 2Face (2 Baba), and the piano-laced classic, “Not The Girl”.   Also, his critically acclaimed last album “Naked” features hit single, “Pray For Me” featuring multiple Grammy award-winning supergroup, Soweto Gospel Choir. The collection also features collaborations with Afropop mega star Olamide and international Afro-soul songstress, Asa.  

The award-winning artist has also clinched multiple awards and nominations including MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAS), Channel O Awards, World Music Awards, The Headies, Nigerian Music Awards and a host of others.
