On the 12th of March, 2017, one Abdulhakeem Bauchin Bauchi was killed by unknown persons and his decomposing body recovered three days after.
However, on the 17th of March, 2017, Policemen attached to Anti-kidnapping unit of the Bauchi State Police Command arrested four suspects but the deceased vehicle was nowhere to be found.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Haruna Mohammed, a Superintendent of Police, in a statement issued in Bauchi on Wednesday, said that the Mercedes-Benz 300 model car of the deceased was recovered in Edo state.
Mohammed disclosed that preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspects were hired by one of the deceased’s girlfriends who felt jilted because he left her for another woman.
He said: “On the 27/6/2017, Police detectives successfully recovered the deceased’s Mercedes Benz 300 model in Edo State and arrested two more suspects.”
He gave the names of those arrested as Ernest Danladi, male, (30) of Pankshin LGA of Plateau State and Freedom Idom, male (35) of Awen East LGA of Edo State.
He said, “investigation also revealed that the suspects were hired by one of the victim’s girlfriends who felt betrayed following his intention to marry another woman.”
The Police Spokesman said efforts were being intensified to apprehend the Lady after which the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
