An eyewitness Margaret Acka said: “Fulani herdsmen were in my father’s house today (Sunday) afternoon shooting and killing at will. Three reported dead and others wounded. When will this end?” Another eyewitness simply identified as James said the herdsmen launched the attack at about 5pm on Sunday just as the villagers were coming out from Sunday evening service. The attackers reportedly came from the Taraba axis, through Abaji, Mbamar, Ugondo and busted out at Akaa while shooting sporadically at the village market square. The incident has been confirmed by the Benue state Police command.
