Samarth Srivastava

Lucknow: Stirred with the ‘Tehzeeb’ of the city of nawabs, Bollywood heart-throb Pulkit Samrat said that it is the culture and history of Lucknow which amazes him the most.

Pulkit, who was here for the promotional event of ‘Pepsi’ along with his ‘Fukrey 2’ fellow stars Varun Sharma and Manoj Singh, also spoke about his love for city’s iconic food.

Newstrack.com had a Q and A session with Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh.

What are you here for?

Pulkit: I and my buddies Varun and Manjot are here for the beverage brand Pepsi’s recently launched ‘Kyun Sookhe Sookhe Hi’ campaign.

What is ‘Kyun Sookhe Sookhe Hi’ campaign is all about?

Pulkit: It pivots on the simple belief that just like life is incomplete without friends, food is incomplete without Pepsi.

Varun: Pepsi’s ‘Kyun Sookhe Sookhe Hi’ campaign brings me back to the city. I just loved shooting with the TVC as it also gave me the opportunity to share screen space again with two of my best friends.

Manjot: The campaign is the perfect representation of my bond with Pulkit and Varun.

Is this reel life bond among you three is same in real life also?

Pulkit: Absolutely, we are like brothers. Whenever the three of us get together, laughter and craziness follow.

Tell us something about your upcoming Bollywood projects?

Pulkit: I am here for other reasons so I am bound not to speak about my upcoming projects. Apparently, when I will come for the same purpose then I would love to share it.

Is this your first visit to Lucknow?

Pulkit: No, this is my third time and my love for this beautiful city has only increased whenever I paid a visit here.

You three are foodies and Lucknow is hub of the same. Did you guys yet explore city’s delicious food?

Pulkit: The luscious aromas of the kebabs keep bringing me back. I just love the tunday kebabs and tokri chaat of the city. I have heard that Biryani of Lucknow is also mouth-watering.

Varun: I see Lucknow as the perfect confluence of history, culture and food. The non-veg food of this city is unmatched.

Manjot: It is one of the most vibrant cities of Uttar Pradesh and I am eagerly looking forward to experience some of the city’s most iconic dishes during my trip with my buddies.

What else apart from food enticed you in Lucknow?

Pulkit: The culture, language, tehzeeb and history of Lucknow is the most loving part for me. This is the city of ‘Pehle Aap’. That is the reason why I love visiting Varanasi.

Amount of chaos is also there but the beauty of both the cities overshadows it.
