The verdict

I couldn’t quite believe just how tiny the Tent was when packed down. It comes in a beautiful, co-odinating carry bag, and it was so light I was almost surprised to find that the poles were inside too!

The tent is double skinned, and comes with 3 poles to hold the tent up. The poles are quickly and easily assembled and feed into the inner tent to erect. Next, comes the beautiful flysheet, which drapes over the top and is then pegged out, and in the space of minutes, it was up and ready to use.

Design wise, it is of course stunning. The Olive and Orange print by Orla Kiely is bright and funky, without being too over the top, so if you like to stand out and be a bit different, but don’t have a huge budget, then this little tent is definitely worth considering.

With a HH of 3000mm, that’s a decent level of waterproofing too, and the double skin design will ensure you stay dry even in torrential downpours.

The front area of the tent with mesh doors that can be easily tied back

We’ve tested similar tents before, and have to admit that we were super impressed with this one, especially at it’s current sale price of £65.

It took 4 minutes to put up and peg out, and thanks to the shaped porch area at the front of the tent, there is plenty of space to put things like bags and boots, to stop them taking up space inside.

We liked the addition of small internal storage pockets at either side of the tent, handy for storing things like mobile phones and torches in.

Inside the tent, with the fabulous Orla Kiely designed sleeping bag, also available at Halfords

Whilst It is classed as a 2-man, as is usually the case, you’ll need to make sure that if sharing, you are using only narrow sleeping mats or pads, to fit two adults side by side. For that reason, particularly for festivals or weekend camping trips, we’d recommend this tent for single use, but for a night or two, as long as you don’t have heaps of gear, there is enough space for 2 to sleep side by side snugly.

Would we recommend it?

Without a doubt, this is a beautiful little tent. The waterproof rating and double skin design, make it a step up from your typical small popup tents, and some other similarly priced A frame tents that we’ve seen aimed at the festival market. Whilst the light weight of the tent does make it ideal for festivals, it’s sturdy enough to use for more regular weekend camping trips.
