I took my Wide Mouth 32 oz Hydro Flask to the South of France last summer for a camping trip and it performed brilliantly, so when I got the opportunity to try out a smaller Hydro Flask just before we left for the Indian Ocean, I thought it would be perfect for traveling with and taking to the beach.
Our mini-bar was too small to fit large bottles of water inside, so each day I decanted water into my Hydro Flask, popped it in the fridge for a couple of hours and the water then stayed cool for the rest of the day.
The temperature stayed between 30° and 32° every single day and I found that dehydration set in very fast in the Maldives, and after an hour or two of snorkelling my Hydro Flask was always a welcome sight!

I took it with me to the beach every day, and I also used it whilst traveling. Our journey included a train, two flights, a sea plane and a speed boat and we arrived at our destination some 27 hours after leaving home, and my water was still cool when we stepped off the boat onto the island.
I am extremely fussy when it comes to hydration, and I can’t abide drinking room temperature water so the Hydro Flask gets top marks from me as it keeps water ice cold all day, and cool for more than 24 hours even in 32° heat. I simply would not be without either of mine. I’ve found that the smaller Standard Mouth Hydro Flask is perfect for traveling, hiking and the gym, whilst I find my larger Wide Mouth Hydro Flask is perfect camping and keeping in the car for after a hike.
The stainless steel Hydro Flask is now available in an array of new colours, including Lemon, Mint and Raspberry, and you can find out more below.
