CINÉMA EN Plein Air À LA VILLETTE, PARIS, FRANCE:
JULY 22 – AUGUST 23, 2015
The fantastically popular and above all FREE open- air cinema festival Cinéma en Plein Air returns to the cultural sanctuary called Parc de la Villette. The park has always been popular amongst people of all ages, tourists as well as locals, and will open its gates for its 25th Cinema Festival. The festival will start at the 22nd of July, and will end at August 23rd.
The Movie schedule includes classic movies such as Castle in the Sky from Hayao Myazaki, released in 1986, and Rebecca from Alfred Hitckcock, released in 1940. Also there will be brought some recent movies to the public eye, such as The Gost Writer from Roman Polanski, released in 2010, and House of Tolerance from Betrand Bonello, released in 2011.
But, of course, there is a note to be taken into consideration. Each Saturday during the period the festival takes place, the main title will be a short film directed by a promising young director of this generation.
All movies will be screened at around dusk. They will be shown in their original language with French subtitles. And for those who rather sit on something other than grass or a big rock, there are chairs available for 7 euros each.
