"...He didn't even deserve that," Chen thinks to himself without realizing he was vocalizing the words as he thought them.

"Excuse me?" a pretty young flower answers Chen's mumbles, "are you talking to me?"

"Huh?" Chen tables his concerns for a moment to see who's disturbing his train of thought while he's clearly preoccupied with graver concerns.

"I'm sorry," she responds. Chen turns to see the flower to his left; she blushes her embarrassment at the realization he wasn't talking to her. "I thought you were talking to me." The flowergirl shies away from Chen, clearly angry he was addressed in the first place.

"Who are you?" Chen asks, withdrawing his tone mid-sentence to sound less abrasive upon seeing the beauty emanating from the young innocent flower.

"I'm Jess...I mean...my name...my name is Jess," she manages to spit out between nervous stutters.

"I hope I didn't scare you," Chen asks, transitioning smoothly from his hostile approach.

"Oh heavens, no," the flowergirl answers.

"Heaven, huh? So you're an angel?" Chen asks.

"No zenster, I mean... no sir, I'm just a flowergirl, but a girl can dream can't she?" she asks with a giggle, " maybe an angel one day?"

"So you recognize me?" he asks.

"Of course," she answers, and then adds, "I saw you when you were walking over and recognized right away that you're the zen master. Everyone knows who you are. Was that Shen do Shen that walked by you? It sure looked like him."

"Wow, that's a lot of questions," Chen mocks gently.

"Sorry, I talk a lot when I'm nervous," she explains.

"Oh, that's cute then," Chen answers, "I'm the same way."

"Thank you, I really should be going though. I hope to see you again sometime," she responds, then quickly scampers off into the maze of Dark Market vendors ahead.
